Witness the fate of beloved heroes - and enemies.

THE BALANCE OF POWER HAS FINALLY TIPPED...
The precarious equilibrium among four Londons has reached its breaking point. Once brimming with the red vivacity of magic, darkness casts a shadow over the Maresh Empire, leaving a space for another London to rise.

WHO WILL CRUMBLE?
Kell - once assumed to be the last surviving Antari - begins to waver under the pressure of competing loyalties. And in the wake of tragedy, can Arnes survive?

WHO WILL RISE?
Lila Bard, once a commonplace - but never common - thief, has survived and flourished through a series of magical trials. But now she must learn to control the magic, before it bleeds her dry. Meanwhile, the disgraced Captain Alucard Emery of the Night Spire collects his crew, attempting a race against time to acquire the impossible.

WHO WILL TAKE CONTROL?
And an ancient enemy returns to claim a crown while a fallen hero tries to save a world in decay.

I have a problem. During the summer when I finished book two, knowing that book three would come out during the middle of my last college semester, I told myself that I wouldn't read it until I was done in May. I would not touch my lovely new kindle until I walked across that stage, shook everyone's hand, and was finally a college graduate.

Then the book came out and it was all over.

Perhaps reading this book made me slightly better at doing homework, but probably not and I think I am okay with that. This book was worth every second, every word read.

The layout of the book was a little different than what I am used to. It was like a series of little stories broken up into parts that made up the whole grand story.

And it was, definitely, a grand story.

There was so much to the book. So much that made me pause and think, what? So much that I thought would happen, that didn't because this is not a standard, cliche-filled book. This book and the entire series are so much more than that. So much better and definitely worth the read.

Just when you think you have a pretty good idea of what is going to happen, something totally unexpected occurs and our drabby, magicless Grey London is thrown into the mix of what is happening and what will happen. And this is only around 35% of the book complete.

This book, the Shades of Magic series, are hands down my favorite books and I recommend them to everyone! I even have Mom hooked on them.

So if you are looking for a book and series that will keep you on your toes, keep you guessing, and become your new favorite, you cannot go wrong with A Conjuring of Light and the entire Shades of Magic series!

5 Stars!

P.S. If there were more stars to give, this book would get it!
