It's a beautiful day for a war.

As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.

And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoon worthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly for as they travel deep into the Underwold to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time.

In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear... or the end of herself.

Review

This book literally picks up right where Apollyon left off and that made me do a little happy dance. I didn't want to have to read a back story like so many other authors put in their successive books.

Some people say when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. But when life gives you one seriously ticked off god gunning for your ass, you prepare for war and you hope for paradise.

There are so many things about the beginning of the book that made me do a little happy dance. And for Alex, I have always been Team Aiden, because he is just so wonderful and perfect, for her. But that's okay, she can have him because I call dibs on Seth!

I'll wait forever if I have to.
See, Aiden is perfect for Alex.

But one of the things I never understood about Alex is why she didn't go for Seth. With a connection like that where they feel what the other feels and can even speak to each other telepathically, that would be kickass awesome!

Like many of the other Covenant novels, there were some errors that did in fact throw me off and I was definitely thinking, what?? "Thick sooty ashes fanned the tips of his bread cheekbones." I wondered how that works. Oh, wait, lashes!

The book is written wonderfully. The are a few scenes where there is multiple characters talking and hashing things out, and sometimes, I do find scenes like that hard to follow, but not JLA's books, each one is like a movie scene, and it reads so easily and perfectly. I guess you could say the book has excellent flow.

This book is action packed complete with plenty of swoon worthy moments. I can't believe I waited a whole year to read it!

It is bittersweet to see another one of my favorite series to end. It's over. My favorite book series is really, really over. I couldn't of asked for a better ending though. Everything was perfect in it's own way. I even fell for Seth just a little bit more, if that's even possible.

Five stars all the way! Thank you Jennifer for writing this amazing book series and creating such wonderful characters.

Favorite Quotes and Moments

"Hubby and preggers are the stupidest--" Yes Alex, I could not agreed more with you.

"The sun rises and sets out of Aiden's ass according to you." Thank you Seth for that lovely image.

"Condoms."  I love how even though her characters are having sex, Jen always adds the condoms.

"Deranged baby monkey."

"That's okay," Apollo replied, smiling at Seth in a wholly creepy "hide your kids" kind of way. "When you least expect it, I'm going to turn you into a pink flower that smells like cat pee."

"Titan god of destruction."

"A freaking titan."
